Glazed Stripes
Basecoat:
Two coats of flat paint, any color

Tools:
brush, brown tape, level, measuring tape

Glaze:
Clear, no tint

Number of people:
One

Tips:
  • Stripe width can be made to suit your needs
  •
Prepare to paint: Using the level, measure 8" from the top corner of the wall inward and mark that width with a piece of masking tape. Also use the level to measure 8" inward from the bottom corner of the wall. Now, use your level to tape off the entire line, top to bottom, with the smaller pieces of masking tape as your guide. Bring the level down the wall to ensure the line is straight. Continue across the wall, measuring and using a level to create equal, straight lines.

Step 1: Once the stripes have been taped off, paint every other stripe with clear glaze.

Step 2: Remove tape after glazing each stripe.

Step 3: Repeat until entire wall is finished.
