Basecoat:    Interior semi-gloss latex paint.

Tools:    Level, brown tape, brush, roller handle and cover, tray, rag, drop cloth.

Glaze:    Tinted to desired color

Number of People:    One

 
Step 1: Tape off ceiling and trim. Protect floor with a drop cloth. Apply basecoat and allow to dry completely.
Step 2: Use level and tape to measure and tape off stripes in 8" sections.
Step 3: Roll tinted glaze completely over first stripe. Use brush to stipple glaze into corner and stipple near floor and ceiling.
Step 4: Rag off entire stripe and remove tape.
Step 5: Repeat this process on every other stripe until wall is finished. Let dry 24 hours.
Tip: When taping the opposing stripe, make sure the tape overlaps the already ragged off stripe by about 1/16 inch on either side. Then roll glaze on, stipple small areas, and rag off the entire stripe. Remove tape and continue to complete entire room.
