Pigment Used:
Middletown Green
Madison Burnt Umber
Cobalt Copper Wax
Tips:
Check and recheck measurements before and during all projects
Pigment can be adjusted lighter or darker to your preference using water to lighten and more pigment to darken.
Work pigment until you are satisfied with results
Cobalt Copper Wax adds a metallic sheen to its protective layer
Step 1: Fill holes and prepare room by taping off ceiling, doors and trim.
Step 2: Using a spatula, apply a thick coat of Black Decorative Plaster over entire surface.
Step 3: While plaster is still wet place a piece of styrene or comparable product over the surface flat and remove it. You now have raised the plaster up. Using the same styrene board brush it over raised plaster thus knocking it back down. Let dry.
Step 4: Once dry roll two coats of CE's Elite Metallic Cannaan Copper over black plaster. Let Dry.
Step 5: Using CE's Glory Line Pigment, mixture of Madison Burnt Umber and Middletown Green (50/50), rub in with sponge or brush until desired shade is attained, allow to dry.
The wash is not permanent at this point and can be diluted with a wet sponge if the color is determined to be too dark.
Step 6: Using CE's Glory Line Pigment, straight Middletown Green, rub in with sponge creating areas of interest. Repeat the same thing with some of the Madison Burnt Umber. The wash is not permanent at this point and can be diluted with a wet sponge if color is determined to be too dark. Let Dry.
Step 7: To protect the look and help create the illusion of copper we suggest the use of our Vanity Wax Cobalt Copper. This should be applied with a regular household sponge and just lightly applied over the raised areas of plaster.
