Venetian Plaster is quickly becoming a popular finish choice among homeowners wishing to add a luxurious touch to their homes. Let us guide you through the process of learning this often intimidating technique. Our array of available decorative plasters will be taught to each student in such a way as to simplify the process and expand your ability to be creative. From basic Venetian Plaster to pigment washes and plaster tiles, you will learn how to create six beautiful finishes. Each student will take home six completed sample boards and $200 in product vouchers.

Cloud painting technique- demo and slide show
Practice using a pre-mixed palette
basic compositional matters for rectangular and "tray" ceilings
Creating palettes for different colors and "moods" of skies.
Students complete two different cloud samples (one of these may be large enough to possibly install as a small ceiling somewhere)
Day 2:
Advance cloud composition, designing for domes and round ceilings
Matching colors of cloudscapes to work with the interior design of the room
Designing clouds to use with figures are as part of more involved murals
Marouflage techniques for adding figures or birds into a ceiling
Students will complete a third (round) cloud panel and add a bird or figure into it (these can be a pre-printed item)
