About Our Intructors

Patrick Ganino
Patrick Ganino is the owner of Creative Evolution and CE's Institute of Decorative Painting. For almost a decade, Patrick has graced many Connecticut homes and businesses with his custom murals and beautiful faux finishes. His work has been seen in many newspaper articles and featured in such magazines as The Faux Finisher, The Artistic Stenciler, and Paint and Decorating Retailer. Patrick participated in the decorating of two prestigious showhouses, the Lyman Homestead in 2000 and Green Chimney's Showhouse in Ridgefield in 2005. By designing and completing over 30 murals in Connecticut restaurants, Patrick has become the most highly visible and sought-after muralist in the state.
Mike Sundell
Decorative Painter Mike Sundell has been trained solely by Creative Evolution and has been responsible for overseeing its Faux Department for two years. Mike is dedicated to broadening his craft with new and innovative designs and techniques. Working closely with homeowners and designers from CT, RI, MA and NY, he is an intricate part of CE's success.
Sharon McCormick
Sharon McCormick is the owner of Fairchild House Interiors, located at 40 Main Street, in Durham's Historic District. Fairchild House Interiors provides complete residential interior decoration services. Sharon is a veteran of three showhouses, the YMCA Lyman Homestead Showhouse in 2000, the Guilford Shoreline Foundation Showhouse in 2002 and the Green Chimneys Kinderwood Showhouse in 2005. A former CPA with Price Waterhouse, Sharon's education includes a Certificate in Interior Design from Paier College of Art, a B.A. from Williams College and an M.B.A. from Western New England College. Sharon is an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), for which she is a national spokesperson. Fairchild House Interiors is a member of the International Furnshings and Design Association, the Connecticut Decorating Network and the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce.
Holly Whiting
Holly Whiting is an outstanding decorative painter and instructor. Trained in both fine and applied arts, and with a 20 year career that includes graphics, architectural drafting and decorative painting, she brings a wide ranging sensibility to our classroom. Holly's work includes unique faux finishes, Venetian plaster, trompe l'oeil and murals. She has been a business owner for four years and is an Industry Partner in ASID, the American Society of Interior Designers.
